Four community parks in Pike, Wayne, and Susquehanna counties will receive a total of $713,000 in funding through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program, according to state legislators.
Senators Lisa Baker and Rosemary Brown, and Representatives Jonathan Fritz and Jeff Olsommer recently announced that in Pike County, West Ann Memorial Park in Milford Borough will receive $250,000 for pavilion construction, playground equipment installation with required safety surfacing and fencing, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access, landscaping, and related site improvements. In Wayne County, Carlton Drake Memorial Park in Dreher Township will receive $193,400 for pavilion renovations, pedestrian walkways and parking improvements, playground equipment installation with required safety surfacing, ADA access, landscaping, and related site improvements. A total of $270,000 in funding will be shared between two parks in Susquehanna County for similar improvements.
