Pike County unites for Loaves and Fishes as the "Feed the Need" Poker Run aims to tackle food insecurity this October.
PIKE COUNTY, Pa. — As inflation climbs, so does hunger. In Pike County, one food pantry is feeling the crunch, and the community is stepping up.
“These people are our neighbors, I'm going to cry, they're our friends, and if there is a need. We're here to help them,” June Horton of Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry said.
June Horton co-runs Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry inside Paupack United Methodist Church along Route 507. Right now, the shelves are nearly empty. But an upcoming fundraiser aims to restock them.
